The CMP Grand Piano app is a virtual piano sound module that provides high-quality, realistic piano sounds for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch devices. It supports Bluetooth LE MIDI, Audio Unit, Audiobus, Apple's "Inter-App Audio" system, and the "JACK Audio Connection Kit" for seamless audio and MIDI connections with other apps.

Compared to other piano apps on the market, CMP Grand Piano stands out due to its lower resource consumption and ability to run smoothly on older devices. It boasts a very realistic sound achieved through a vast collection of audio samples totaling over 1.7 GB in size. The app features adjustable audio latency, integrated effects presets, and a MIDI velocity response curve editor for customizing your playing experience.

The sound features of CMP Grand Piano include two high-quality base sounds ("Grand Piano" and "Jazz Piano"), with additional options available as in-app purchases. Users can enjoy up to 140 stereo voices of polyphony, configurable low audio latency, and Hermode Tuning for a brilliant sound experience.
